Austin is a seventh generation Savannahian, and a third-generation business owner, currently serving as President of Austin Hill Realty. His work centers around the success of the team he’s built alongside his business partner and colleague Stephanie Wilson Evans. He brings over 20 years of real estate experience from luxury markets all over the country—including those in Nashville and Washington D.C.
From the very beginnings of his career, Austin specialized in both historic property conversions and new construction developments. In Nashville, he worked alongside top-ranking agent Rick French on esteemed luxury properties in the city’s downtown and around Vanderbilt University. He also played a crucial role in the sales of The Adelicia—Nashville’s first full service luxury high-rise.
Austin thrives at leading globally recognized sales teams. Before returning to Savannah, he worked with one of the highest ranking brokerages in Washington D.C to grow their sales organization. Since then, Washington Fine Properties has achieved the status of number one in the Capital Region with over three billion in sales.
He’s passionate about preservation, something his mother says dates back to his infancy when the family was restoring Back River Pines, the Moon River residence of singer and songwriter Johnny Mercer.
Austin serves as Chairman of the Board for the Historic Savannah Foundation and also sits on the Advisory Committee of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater in Mill Run, Pa., a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the past, he served as Chairman of the Board for The Savannah Philharmonic, as well as on the Board of Directors for Leadership Savannah, The Savannah Board of Realtors, City of Savannah Tourism Advisory Committee, Nashville CARES, the Belmont Mansion at Belmont University, and as a Commissioner of the Housing Authority of Savannah.
He’s a fanatic for skilled architecture, and partaking in large scale projects that combine celebrated historic design with innovative construction. Outside the office, you’ll likely find him spending time on the water with friends or restoring boats, houses, and classic cars.
